It's easy, honest!!

First of all you have to register, creating your username and password to allow you access to post on the boards. You'll also need an invitation code - please contact us via the High Fen web site if you're a club member but haven't received an invitation. *** Please bear in mind that although only HFRC members can register, anyone in the world can read it, so you might like to use a nickname, or maybe just your first name. ***. Mind you, if we have ANY trouble from outsiders we will make the board completely private!!!

We have a range of Categories (Welcome, News etc) and within those a bigger range of Forums (eg Introduce Yourself, Getting Started) - just click on the forum title to the the Topics listed there, then on the topic title you wish to view and on the particular post you wish to view. From there you can reply to that post or start your own, or just go back and look at something else. If you'd like to experiment you can use the Test area - and anyway, you can always edit or delete your posts!  You can also use the smilies from the left of where you type in your post by double-clicking on the one you want while the cursor is where you want the smilie to be - it only shows up a a bit of code until you submit your post, though... Wink

It's a good idea to stay 'on topic' as things can get very disorganised otherwise, so if someone else's post inspires you to go off at a tangent that's great but please try to post in the most relevant forum!

Threads (posts and replies) that stay inactive for a while will start to be deleted when we fill up a bit - post marked as 'sticky' will stay -

If you have ideas for new forums/categories that's great too - please let us know. I'm planning to start a section for Classified ads so that members can manage their own ads.

I will expand this when I have a bit more time - I haven't tried to get too technical yet, not least because I haven't figured it all out myself at the moment!!
